Jack­sonville Dai­ly News Best of the Best 2020

Onslow Memorial Hospital is proud to announce that it has won the Jacksonville Daily News Best of the Best category for Best Hospital in Onslow County! Each year, the Jacksonville Daily News hosts an annual competition for local businesses in and around Onslow. Businesses are first nominated by name for specific categories. The business with the most nominations are then voted on by community members for the honor.

“We were so thankful to be nominated for the Best of the Best,” said OMH President and CEO, Dr. Penney Burlingame Deal, DHA, RN, FACHE. “2020 has been a difficult year for our employees and community and we are humbled and grateful to have received this award. The support of our community has extended beyond our work inside the hospital; it has made a difference in the lives of the Onslow Memorial family and has offered reassurance and inspiration during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are so appreciative for each and every person who voted for us, your confidence in us reaffirms our mission of providing quality patient and family centered care. Thank you!”

In addition, two Onslow Memorial Care Clinics were also nominated and selected for the Best of the Best awards.

Dr. Sandoval, Audiologist at Onslow ENT, was chosen as the winner of Best Hearing Aid Center. Dr. Sandoval provides a wide variety of hearing testing and care for pediatric and adult patients, and joined the Onslow ENT team about a year ago. “I would like to express my deepest gratitude for nominating me for the Best of the Best award. As a new Audiologist in the Coastal Carolina community, I am honored and grateful to all my patients who not only supported my nomination, but who considered me worthy of this title,” said Dr. Sandoval. “A very special thanks to my Onslow Memorial Hospital family who continue to support me in developing our Audiology service line. I promise to continue to give my best. Once again, thank you all. Here’s to better Hearing Health!”

Dr. Abraham from Central Coast Dermatology also won Best Dermatology Center. Dr. Abraham is a full service Dermatologist who has been with the clinic for over 13 years. “Winning Best Dermatology Center means so much to me and the Central Coast Dermatology team!” said Dr. Abraham. “We work hard to provide quality care to each of our patients and we are grateful for those who nominated and voted for us.”

We are extremely proud of Onslow Memorial Hospital, Dr. Sandoval, and Dr. Abraham for earning the Best of the Best titles. Thank you to all those that took the time to nominate and vote for us!
